Dublin Fibre Festival 2025 Reading Knit + Stitch Northern Ireland 2025 2 minutes

We are still buzzing after participating in Knit + Stitch Northern Ireland 2025, which took place from 13th - 16th November in Lisburn.

The show took place at the Eikon centre and was a festival of fibre and creativity. From sewing, to embroidery, knitting, macrame, felting and of course weaving! There were inspiring exhibitions, workshops, talks and lots of supplies.

The highlight for us was chatting to so many lovely customers and introducing new customers to our range of looms. We met so many lovely customers who were telling us how they are getting on with their looms. One lady had bought a loom off us last year and loved it so much she had gone on to buy a full size floor loom. She's still using the Rocket Loom for testing her designs as well which was lovely to hear!

Another highlight was meeting Mary Tolan who is giving a class in Falcaragh in Donegal, at an tSean Bhairic. She was telling me all about how her students have been really enjoying experimenting with our looms and she showed me lots of projects people had made.

Lovely to see Chris from Donegal Yarns as always, when he popped by to say hello. We use beautiful Donegal Yarns in nearly all our kits.

I was really inspired by the work of Sarah Cathers, one of the artists exhibiting. She collects little bits of natural materials and sews and weaves them together to make the most amazing little artworks. In a world where we throw away so much, I found this exhibition hugely inspiring.

I also managed to chat to some lovely shop owners so watch out for a few new stockists in the near futures, and of course I stocked up on some beautiful craft supplies and treated myself to one of Hannah Grainger's gorgeous woven scarves, which has been on my wishlist for quite a while now.

Next stop Gifted at the RDS! Preparations underway already!
