How it all began
A little loom and a big idea
The Rocket Loom began in 2020 when Aran invented a clever wooden loom for the kids to help pass the time during the covid lockdown.
Since then its developed a life of its own evolving into a range of sizes all the patented patterning combs that automatically create complex patterns with a twist of the wrist.
From a long line of knitters, Maeve was quickly hooked by the speed and simplicity of the Rocket Loom. Her love of wool and eye for colour shine through in the range of projects and patterns she has created for the looms.
Seeing our kids enjoying a break from screen time with the looms, we set out to inspire others to discover the benefits of being more creative as well.

POP OUT is part of a Sligo-based design studio run by husband and wife team Aran and Maeve Pudney. From our workshop in Sligo we design and make a range of highly sustainable products from the finest natural materials, all with the goal of inspiring a love of creativity and the natural world.
