Our amazing Rocket Loom
Introducing our clever little invention making the world of weaving accessible to all. The original Rocket Loom was invented during the covid lockdowns of 2020 when we were looking for craft projects to entertain the kids during the long days at home. Designed by Aran with simplicity at its core, and combined with Maeve's love of wool and colour, it was an instant hit and allowed our 3 kids to complete little weavings before the attention span ran out! We continued to make changes, additions and improvements, always with the goal of making everything as easy and enjoyable as possible. We knew we had a unique design, and we got a patent on the Rocket Loom system in 2024.
We have created 3 different versions now, all featuring our rotating automatic pattern making combs. These can be switched around mid-weaving, giving you endless creative possibilities, as well as being incredibly easy to use. There are also 2 different 'setts' or fineness of weave, 6 and 8 ends per inch, and our dedicated bracelet loom offers a fantastic sustainable alternative to plastic friendship bracelets.
Maeve has spent countless hours weaving and creating patterns and projects perfect for our looms, all designed to showcase what they can do, and with the aim of inspiring others to start weaving and experience the glow from completing a little project. We want you to make something, learn about the materials and the process, and then grow further by designing your own creations.
We hope you get as much from our looms as we get from seeing them used, and are inspired to take your creative journey further. We are still insatiable creators and innovators, and we already have new ideas, looms and designs underway, follow us to see what we will create next!

Rocket loom original
Introducing our clever little invention making the world of weaving accessible to all. The Rocket Loom came into being during the covid lockdowns of 2022 when Aran needed a craft project to entertain the kids for a while and the family lasercutting business was at a standstill. With Maeve's love of yarn it wasn't long before the Rocket Loom came into being as a product in its own right and we now have two gorgeous kits featuring the Rocket Loom and yarn from the Donegal yarns mill, a perfect gift with a genuine Irish twist.
