Puffin Wooden Craft Kit – Build & Decorate
Make your own little puffin family, ready for a world of adventures. This wooden puffin craft kit includes a parent puffin, a puffling and two fish skeletons — the remains of their dinner! Build, decorate and choose your own colours to make the little scene entirely your own.
Pop out the pieces, smooth any rough edges with the sandpaper included, and clip them together — no glue needed. Decorate with your favourite paints, colouring pencils or markers, or enjoy the natural wood finish.
Lovely wood for colourful ideas
We use premium FSC-certified birch plywood from sustainably managed forests in Finland. The wood takes colour beautifully, making it a lovely surface for everything from a puffin’s familiar orange beak to bright patterns and imaginative designs. Use your own pencils, paints or markers.
Once assembled, your sturdy wooden puffins can take their place on a shelf or become part of a world of adventures. Children can build an island around them, make a seaside scene or invent stories with their other animals. There’s no set colour scheme or finished look to copy — just room for your own ideas.
Designed and made in Sligo, Ireland
We design and make everything in our Sligo studio, using carefully chosen materials and minimal paper packaging. The kit is plastic free and comes in a compact envelope: a little creative gift for children who enjoy animals, nature and making things.
Meet the puffin
Puffins nest on Ireland’s cliffs and islands in summer, sometimes making their home in an old rabbit burrow. They spend the rest of the year out at sea, diving for fish and riding the waves — and can carry more than a dozen little fish in their beaks at once!
Pack size: 11 × 11 × 0.4 cm.
In this pack: One parent puffin, one puffling and two fish skeletons — the remains of their dinner!
Finished size : The big puffin is 6cm tall.
Ages 4+
Warning: Not suitable for children under 3 years. Small parts.
Every animal kit includes:
- Wooden pop-out pieces to build your chosen animals and their accompanying extras
