Bring a little seaside colour to your weaving
Seaside combines rich ocean teal and sunny yellow with the gentle warmth of driftwood and contrasting dark and light shades. Try bright coastal stripes, a bold diamond pattern or a quieter combination of neutrals.
Your five colours are Ink, Cloud, Driftwood, Sunbeam and Ocean Teal.

Premium Cashmerino silk, spun in Donegal
Our bracelet yarn blends 80% merino wool, 10% cashmere and 10% Mulberry silk. It is spun by Donegal Yarns, in the same mill that produces our Aran tweed weaving yarn.
We chose this finer, sport-weight yarn for thin, comfortable bracelets with beautifully detailed patterns. Supplied washed and without spinning oil, it feels wonderfully soft against your skin.

Is this weaving kit suitable for beginners?
Yes. The kit is designed for beginners, with a full-colour instruction book and video tutorials to guide you through the projects.
How many coasters can I make?
The included yarn makes four small size coasters and one large one.
Can I reuse the loom?
Yes. The wooden Rocket Loom is designed to be used repeatedly, so you can continue with new yarns, patterns and projects.
What size are the finished coasters?
The four smaller coasters measure approximately 10 × 12.5 cm (4 × 5 inches), and the larger coaster approximately 14 × 16.5 cm (5.5 × 6.5 inches). Finished sizes may vary slightly depending on your weaving tension and finishing.
How long does it take to weave the coasters?
Allow approximately 30 minutes for each small coaster and one hour for the larger one—around three hours for the full set. Work at your own pace and enjoy making them over several sessions if you prefer.
Which patterns will I learn?
The instruction book includes four designs: salt and pepper, striped tweed, dogstooth and plaid. The projects build your skills progressively, helping you explore colour and pattern using plain weave.
Which pattern maker is included?
The kit includes Pattern Maker 1 (PM1), suitable for all the plain weave projects in the included instruction book. Additional pattern makers are available separately. Our Ultimate Kit options also include the 2 × 2 twill and diamond weave pattern makers.
Can I choose my own colours and designs?
Yes. Follow the patterns in the book or experiment with different combinations of the five included Lakeshore yarn colours: navy, green, pale blue, cream and bright blue.
What is the yarn made from?
The kit includes 100% wool aran tweed yarn, spun in Donegal. Its colourful flecks give your finished coasters their distinctive tweed character.
Are the shuttles already wound?
Yes. The five included shuttles come pre-wound with approximately 80 metres of yarn in total.
Where is the kit made?
The kit is designed and made in Sligo, Ireland, using Finnish birch and heritage tweed yarn sourced from Donegal.
What age is this weaving kit suitable for?
We recommend this kit for ages 12 and above, including teens and adults. No previous weaving experience is needed.
How do I care for my finished coasters?
Your coasters are made from 100% wool and should be hand washed only.
