Crab Wooden Craft Kit – Build & Decorate
Make your own little seaside scene with a large crab, a starfish and a shell. This wooden crab craft kit is ready for you to build, decorate and bring to life, choosing your own colours to make the little scene entirely your own.
Pop out the pieces, smooth any rough edges with the sandpaper included, and clip them together — no glue needed. Decorate with your favourite paints, colouring pencils or markers, or enjoy the natural wood finish.
Lovely wood for colourful ideas
We use premium FSC-certified birch plywood from sustainably managed forests in Finland. The wood takes colour beautifully, making it a lovely surface for everything from natural animal colours to bright patterns and imaginative designs. Use your own pencils, paints or markers.
Once assembled, your sturdy wooden crab can take its place on a shelf or become part of a world of adventures. Children can make a rock pool, arrange the starfish and shell along a pretend shoreline or invent stories with their other sea creatures. There’s no set colour scheme or finished look to copy — just room for your own ideas.

We design and make everything in our Sligo studio, using carefully chosen materials and minimal paper packaging. The kit is plastic free and comes in a compact envelope: a little creative gift for children who enjoy animals, nature and making things.
Meet the crab
Crabs are busy little creatures, found scuttling across rocks, sand and shallow water. Their hard shells help protect them, and their claws are useful for feeding, digging and defending themselves. If a crab loses a claw, it can gradually grow a new one as it moults — shedding its old shell to make room to grow!
Pack size: 11 × 11 × 0.4 cm.
In this pack: One large crab, a starfish and a shell, plus a small piece of sandpaper and a QR link to instructions.
Finished size : The crab is 8cm across.

How do we assemble it?

Do we need glue?
No — the pieces clip together without glue.
What can we use to decorate it?
Use your favourite paints, colouring pencils or markers. The premium birch plywood takes colour beautifully, so children can choose natural animal colours or invent their own patterns and designs. You can also leave it in its natural wood finish.
Are paints included?
No. Bring your own paints, colouring pencils or markers.
Can children play with it once it’s made?
Yes! The sturdy wooden animals are ready to become part of their own scenes, adventures and stories with other animals. The creativity can carry on long after the decorating is finished.
Shipping
We use DPD carbon neutral shipping to ship all of our products in Ireland. Please allow 2-3 days for order processing and usually 1-2 days for delivery. We offer free shipping on orders over €50 and charge a €5 flat fee on orders under this.
Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
